October 27 (Monday) Lei Off of Drugs!- Hawaiian attire, everyone will be given a lei and Red Ribbon in 1st Period.
October 28 (Tuesday) Drugs Make You Ugly!- Wear an "ugly" sweater or mismatched clothes.
October 29 (Wednesday) Be a Hero, Don't Do Drugs!- Dress up as your favorite super hero or law enforcement character.
October 30 (Thursday) Wild About Being Drug Free!- Girls wear their favorite animal print clothes and boys wear their camo.
October 31 (Friday) Team Up Against Drugs!- Wear black and gold to support OUR favorite team- Go HORNETS!!

FRIDAY NATIONAL PINK OUT DAY
This Friday is National Pink Out Day. Anyone in grades 7-12 may wear pink to honor breast cancer survivors or in memory of those who have died. We will take a group Lunch A and Lunch B Friday. We will meet at the concession stand area.

Students must have a pass from the office or a teacher to go to the library before school or during lunch.
Tuesday, October 28th from 5:00 – 7:30 P.M. we will have our 2014 HGS Fall Festival in the school cafeteria. We have coordinated with Pastor Bell of Harmony Grove Methodist Church to allow the children to participate in their games, activities and Trunk or Treat after the festival. This year at the festival entrance we will ask each child to donate canned or dry food for the church’s community food pantry as their entry fee (green beans, corn, soups, pasta and sauces are always needed).
All tickets will be sold through the ticket booth and will be 25 cents each. Participating groups will decide how many tickets will be required to play each game.
The Junior Class will sell drinks, desserts, nachos and pizza slices. Clubs and Classes will host a large variety of fun filled games and activities. To name a few… face painting, basketball, photo booth, putt putt golf, pumpkin bowling, cake walk and “do you want to smash a snowman?”
The American Cancer Society will sponsor a costume contest beginning at 6:30 P.M. There will be prizes awarded in each age group and treats for all participants (Infant to 2 year olds, 3 and 4 year olds, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade; 4th – 6th grades).
Spanish Club members have the opportunity to attend the Ennio Emmanuel Concert in Little Rock on December 3. Mrs. Lancaster has 40 seats reserved, and the $15.00 tickets may be purchased from her by October 24.
